luiggib 4 Posted September 14, 2014 (edited) HI, I'm almost ready for operation at mid october but I'm really scary about the liquid diet. The other day I was going to get a Cholonoscopy done and I almost die on the day before doing the liquid diet. I've never have a surgery in my life but I really need to do this or I'll get into deep trouble since I'm 400 pounds now. Please I need some support and advice. I'll be doing the sleeve with Dr. Peter Rantis here in Chicago. Edited September 14, 2014 by luiggib

Kathy812 794 Posted September 17, 2014 @@luiggib, I'm in Chicago too, my surgery is October 17. So I'll be doing a liquid diet in two weeks. try not to stress over it. I decided I am going to take it one day at a time and do the best I can. I had a colonoscopy as well. If You recall, you were only allowed to drink broths and Jell-O. So of course that made it hard. However, with the preop liquid diet you are allowed Protein Shakes which hopefully should help fill you up. Okay, maybe "fill you up" is not the right word, the better word is satisfy. :-) Good luck , you'll get through this. Try to stay positive and keep your eye on the prize.
