alexsisv 139 Posted September 13, 2014 Hi guys! I'm getting sleeved in less than 48 hours -9/15. How is everyone mentally preparing for success? I'm visualizing and thinking about how I will feel weighing 100 pounds less, not walking like I'm 90 years old. Trying to be realistic that there will be struggles, pain and challenges. I've preped my support and explained what I envision the new norm to be..... How about you?
VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted September 13, 2014 Sounds brilliant to me. I did a lot of fantasizing that my recovery would be easy. And it worked for me. LOL! Actually, I probably was just lucky. But either way, it wouldn't hurt to imagine before surgery how easy the recover might be. It goes that way for a lot of people. Break a leg!
*Lexie* 1,486 Posted September 13, 2014 I am keeping in mind that no matter how I feel right after surgery, it will be short lived and eventually I will feel so much better than I do now. I just have to get over the hump. I'm an ex-runner that really misses it, I am visualizing running with ease and how great that is going to feel.
