texaslady89 16 Posted January 27, 2015 I got sleeved on the 12th and I did my soft foods a little early... Been chewing real good. Haven't had any issues yet. My appetite is slowly starting to come back but i cant hold no more than 3 or 4 tablespoons before I get full. I've lost 30 lbs so far.

Bringing-sexy-back 3 Posted January 28, 2015 I was sleeved jan 20, 2015. I'm a little over 1 week out. Still getting used to the pouch, Vitamins, etc.. But starting to feel pretty good. Incisions still sore, I keep rolling on my tummy in my sleep -OUCH! Have only lost a pound since surgery, but the swelling is finally starting to go down. On the Wright track 9 Posted January 28, 2015 Just saw the surgeon today. I lost 4 lbs since surgery January 20, 2015. I'm still a little sore on my left side (inside), which makes sleeping on my stomach impossible, but other than that I'm doing pretty well. 6 more days of Clear Liquids and Protein and then pureed foods!!!! Congratulations @Bringing-sexy-back.

BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted January 29, 2015 @@brighteyes64 - What instructions did you nutritionist give? I had 2 week phases. 2 weeks Full Liquids, 2 weeks Purees and then 2 weeks Soft Foods. So at your stage I was on purees. I could eat hummus, soft scrambled eggs, Soups ( I made my own with purred Beans and vegetable broth), and almond butter. I discovered Isopure unflavored Protein Powder and I could add that to my Soups. Check with your nutritionist, she should be able to give you better direction. Kathy812 794 Posted January 29, 2015 @@brighteyes64, congrats on getting sleeved! I've heard lots of people mention GENEPRO Protein Powder, it's supposed to be flavorless & full of Protein. Maybe you can use it in broths or add it to crystal lite. Check w/your doctor first to see if it's recommended. I didn't hear about it until after I was in phase IV (regular food). So I personally never tried it. Good luck. It gets easier.

brighteyes64 7 Posted January 29, 2015 BLERDGIRL I am currently on full liquids and start oatmeal, yogurt, and cream Soup tomorrow. I haven't tried that powder but maybe will try it. I can't seem to keep protien drinks down. Thanks for the advice I am looking forward to the next phase. I do see my dietitian Friday
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted January 29, 2015 @@brighteyes64 - I was skeptical, but I liked that it has nothing else in it. I don't need or want extra flavoring and I can't have artificial sweeteners. I make oatmeal from scratch so I dissolve a scoop of the Isopure in a 50/50 water/almond milk mixture and cook up my oats. I then add dried cranberries to it for sweetness. When I was in the pureed stage I soaked the cranberries in a bit of hot Water and pureed them and then added them to the oatmeal. I still use the Isopure as a pre workout drink. It's better to not to work out on an empty stomach and I can eat solid food and workout. I've also successfully blended it with 0% Fage greek yogurt. I add my own fresh fruit. The combo gives me anywhere from 30 - 38gms of Protein and makes getting in the rest of my protein easy. With Soup I take a small amount of soup and add to the protein powder. Almost like making old school gravy. When that's mixed and smooth I then add the rest of my soup. I don't taste the powder at all.
