Wow brilliant! U luk awesome! I'm post surgery 9 months and lost in total 3 stones. However havin three children I have a lot of saggy skin on my belly. Any advice how to rid of that?

Ugh...no. I wish!!! I am hoping for a Tummy Tuck soon now that I've reached goal! I have tried core strengthening, planking and such helps some, but for me it's a lot of just....well....extra skin and no amount of toning is helping that.

Well, I actually can tell you that! I went back to my blog to see the date I started running and then checked my weight logs since I've weighed myself every single day (lol). I lost 75.2 before starting to run (at 4 months post op) then another 61.2 after starting to run util today for a total of 136.4.

From your signature I can see that you've done a great job so far.... You are headed in the right direction :-). I would recommend (if you haven't already) starting with a couch to 5k app. I literally did not run at all, ever, in my life and within 5 months was able to start training for marathon running. It's not for everyone and the important thing is to find SOMETHING you enjoy whether it's running or something else. It gives me something to focus on other than the scale and as someone with a proclivity towards eating-disordered thinking, focusing on non-scale goals is HUGE. And keep in mind, I don't always love running while I'm doing it.....lol.. There are some days my legs still feel like bricks for sure. And pretty much everyone hates the first 2 miles.... haha

Thank you so much for the great feedback! I actually am signed up for a 5k for this Saturday. I have been walking my dog every night and been walking a block and then running a block. Small steps at this point. It is a start. Your journey has been inspirational!

That is AWESOME! Good luck! My first 5k is still my most favorite running memory to date. It was so emotional to realize what I could now do. You'll do great, I'm sure!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
