3 days post-op and severe left side pain

I am 3 days post op and find my left side to be having severe pain. Is this relatively normal??

I believe that is your incision where the removed your stomach. it is the one that is the most manipulated. but like stated above, call your surgeon if your pain is too bad.

It might be gas, walk walk walk.... it's the ONLY thing that will help if it is gas. Good luck, feel better!

Yes that is normal. They have to put a stitch in the muscle after they pull out the stomach. Some people do experience alot of post op pain in this spot. Mine lasted for 3 1/2 weeks. Take ur pain pills, rest and make sure you ice the incision.

The pain will go away I promise!

Yup I'm a week out and dealing with the same pain, It feels like deep muscle pain on the left lower abdominal area. It's normally.

I'm also 3 days post-op and have some dull aching pains on my left side. My doc said its gas for me, but if it's severe please call your doctor.

Rachell have you seen a doctor yet for the pain? Has it subsided?

A heating pad helps a lot with the left side pain, if you haven't tried it yet.
