ShirleyJ84 19 Posted September 12, 2014 I'm two weeks out from surgery and today I have a funny feeling in my pouch. I ate my normal Breakfast (1 oz scrambled egg and 1oz diced ham). Well here it is about 2 hours later and it feels like I have a rock in my stomach. I don't know what it is but it's uncomfortable and making me nauseous. I have no idea what to do. I haven't had any problems until this. Souls I call my surgeons office?
joy59 81 Posted September 12, 2014 Two weeks out seems soon to be eating that type of food since you are still in the healing phase. But I know all doctors have their own eating plans. It maybe a normal new feeling of being too full but I would suggest anytime you have a question or concern talk to your team they would rather here from you. It sounds like you are doing really well. winning_by_losing 107 Posted September 12, 2014 I would give them a call to be safe. Just like Joy59 mentioned, 2 weeks out was way too early for my program to be eating that type of foods, but then we all have different programs.

ShirleyJ84 19 Posted September 12, 2014 This was the first time this has happened. I was scared. One of the wonderful women from my support group talked new through it. Told me to relax, walk and sip Water. It helped so much. It also helped when she told me that what you tolerated yesterday isn't what you may tolerate today. Makes me rethink everything in my approved list that I've been eating. Nervous about eating now lol
Amyllf2 206 Posted September 12, 2014 Shirley you might want to hop onto the LapBand boards. The folks who had your procedure may offer you better insight than those who had bypass. Your food list, and reactions may be very different from ours.
ShirleyJ84 19 Posted September 12, 2014 Dang, my profile still says band. I need to change that. I had my RNY on the 26th of August.
RachelD 0 Posted September 12, 2014 I went through the same thing. eggs were one of the first things I tried when I went on soft foods. The 1st 2 mornings were fine, but then every time I ate a scrambled egg, I got that rock in my stomach feeling and was nauseaus. Right now I have an egg aversion. However, I have been able to eat an over easy egg with no problem. I'm 8 weeks post op, and don't really want eggs anymore. Just the thought of them is yucky right now. I used to eat them all the time, so it's a weird feeling. Several other foods gave me that same feeling, but it's gotten better each week.
