Anyone else had these symptoms

Recommended Posts

I was sleeve almost two months ago. After Breakfast (little portion of some grits and turkey bacon), I started experiencing symptoms of my stomach and chest rumbling and gurgling constantly. My throat has been dry and I have been dealing with nausea and a little diarrhea to the point where I have ran to the bathroom because it feels like I am going to throw up. I was wondering if this was normal or a normal condition? I plan on calling my doctor's office if things continue.

Have you eaten those foods before without issue? I had something similar happen to me when I ate beef Jerky.. I don't think my stomach was quite ready for it. I was basically out of commission for the whole day after that. I've stuck with softer meats/proteins ever since just because I don't want that happening again.

my stomach has been gurgling even from drinking liquids. noisy little bugger, but not feeling sick at all. it usually happens when I drink too quickly, or eat more than my 3 tablespoons because I didn't measure my food.

Mine does that when I eat or drink too fast. Sometimes I just eat a few bites in a row without thinking. Still tiny bites but I have stop myself from going to the next bite too soon. No diarrhea ....just the nausea.

Yes, I have eaten these foods before. I haven't had any issue maybe stomach/chest gurgling but nothing like what I experience yesterday. Also usually the nausea sometimes even throwing up and other symptoms might come and then they will go away but this last all day. Eating fast could be it because I do tend to eat fast sometimes. I have started a cold so could that be the reason some of these things are happening?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
