Recommended Posts

Hey everyone I can't seem to know where to shop now a days I am almost 10 months post op and have lost 130 pounds my legs seem to be small but my waist and belly still huge!! So jeans need to be alittle stretchy to fit over the muffin top! Any advice anyone using shape wear and if so where do u buy it? Oh also I am a female 26 and weight 139

Old Navy is a good place to start. They have at least 6 different cuts of pants (flirt, rockstar, boyfriend, etc.) as well as jeans with differing amounts of stretch. This weekend, I tried on a pair of grey jeans in my usual ON cut and size but had to size down because they are so stretchy. You sound like a great candidate for all the skinny jeans out there. I too have a tummy so the rise of the pants make a huge difference. I always go for mid-rise jeans to hold me in. I can't handle shape wear under jeans, I always feel like the seams show. Good luck.

I have the same problem. Skinny legs, no butt, but still lots of belly flab. I've been buying jeans on clearance at Target and Old Navy because I refuse to pay over $20 for a pair of jeans that I can only wear for a couple of months. I got lucky a couple of weeks ago and found some Target skinny jeans on clearance for $7.

I went to old navy the rock star jeans are very stretchy the only thing is the only color I like is the black ones they don't have any light wash jeans which I was looking for!

I bought a pair of light wash rock star jeans this summer. I loved the way they looked. I need to go get some more. It's amazing to be able to wear skinny jeans!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
