MzDimplezNYC 3 Posted September 8, 2014 Hello all I am new to the forum and I have a question that I hope someone can answer. I am in the process of trying to have a band to sleeve revision and I wanted to know has anyone had to have a upper GI?
scrapbasket 83 Posted September 8, 2014 I did. they check for strictures, slipped band, hiatal hernia, and such. no worries, some sleepy time meds and they say, you are done! go home.
thesuse2000 698 Posted September 8, 2014 I'm not sure if you have to, but I did - a few years ago. At the time I was having major issues with the band and was actually hoping to find something that would provide a rationale for the insurance company to cover a revision. As above poster mentioned - it's really not bad. You sleep through it all. They did insist that I get a ride home afterwards. I think I took off the rest of the day just cause I was feeling a little woozy, but many people go right back to work.

stacielynntate 88 Posted September 13, 2014 I have had a few so they could see placement of the band and other things. I also took the rest of the day off.
