Doesn't drinking push food thru band?

Back On The Prescribe Diet But It Says I Can Have Thinned Soups Or Belended Soups, Ceral With Milk Let It Get Soggy Thinned Oat Meal Low Fat Yogurt Sg Free pudding Vegetable Or Tomato juice Sf Popsicles Sf Gelatin

Those are perfect. The oatmeal is very satisfying and I don't even like oatmeal. Same with V8 juice. One 5.5oz serving of V8 juice is a full veggie serving.

Do you know that some docs are soooo anal about adhesions forming (like my doc) that HIS diet is two full weeks of Clear Liquids? broth (not Soup but broth), S/F Jello, Gatorade, clear Protein drinks... no milk, no yogurt, no veggie drinks, no puddings, just the above? Then the next two weeks is full liquids. If it will go through a straw we could have it. Then 2 weeks of soft foods, then gradually reintroduce solids.

Dude, you have it easy. Don't abuse the diet. You'll pay dearly in the end. If your band slips you are looking at an even more strict diet and that is assuming you even get to keep your band.

Remember, just because food does not cause physical pain does NOT mean you are not doing damage. You can do this, it's for a short time.

One of the biggest challenges most bandsters seem to have (especially ME!) is learning to tell the difference between head hunger and true hunger. When is your body actually hungry and when do you just simply want to eat.

You are so right wasbubblebutt. THAT is one of the hardest things. My doc toldme thatmany people misunderstand the sounds the body is making. Most of those "hunger groans" aren't really hungry at all. Our head decided it is. We hear it, and "oh, i better eat, I am hungry".

Sometimes, just doing something else helps, like picking up a book, or if you are at work, take on one more task.

You know I was/am a MAJOR choclaholic. So, when the going gets tough, after dinner, kids are in bed, I whip out my 1 candy kiss. I don't chew it, i let it melt in my mouth. that satisfies even my cravings.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
