Gigi4181 5 Posted October 16, 2014 Hey all SEPTEMBER SLEEVERS !!!!! Im 28/F Sleeved on 9/17 in chicago Tomorrow will be my 1 month Surgiversary ! Im excited so Far I am able to intake far more liquids then I can eat. so far about 1 11 oz Protein shake my choice is the Atkins mocha latte ( doing the atkins diet BTW) Im on The Soft foods phase trying a new thing at a time due to me having horrible dumping syndrome to almost everything. stats: pre-op: 277 Day of Surg: 262 Current wt: 244.8 My weight has currently stalled. or it can move up to 248.3 ish this is the worst part at this step for me I try so hard no to weigh myself daily but im fixated lol... Overall being able to eat a few normal things lunchmeat. cheese , grapes. alittle lettuce has gotten me out of my little post surgery blues that I was feeling. No more pain at all. I have ordered a Corset for waist training as this is very common after having surgery ( I had a c-section in 2008) overall I feel great Im down 2 pants sizes ! only thing I regret with this stall is not taking my measurements and I know my overall body mass has gone down even though the scales says otherwise ! (there is a light at the end of this tunnel ) I am so happy for all of you on here and sharing your stories is so much support! please keep posting on your journeys as I will do so Also !!!!! 2late4bed 37 Posted October 16, 2014 My surgery date was September 17, so tomorrow is my surgiversary, too. So far I've lost 34 pounds. I would NEVER have been able to lose this weight without my sleeve. I couldn't even make it through the 2 week pre op diet without having a moment of weakness here and there. (I lost 10 pounds but gained 2 back during a cookout we had) Now, when I get hungry I eat but only very small amounts. For anyone curious as to what I've been eating. .....I eat the following items but not every day. Cottage cheese, string cheese, Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yogurt (the caramel apple is to die for, lol), sugar free pudding with Unjury chocolate Protein powder mixed in, Progresso Light chicken and Cheese Enchilada Soup with Unjury unflavored 1/3 packet protein powder mixed in, tuna fish, Egg beater Southwestern style egg white omelet with grated cheese , boiled eggs, and occasionally an Atkins bar or treat but usually only about once a week. I never seem to finish anything and usually put it in the fridge for later but end up throwing it out. Appetite is easily curbed with just a few bites....Also, I write everything that I eat down in a notebook along with the time I ate it and the calories, carbs, and protein. That way I can keep track of what I am eating and how many carbs and protein I'm getting. I keep my daily carbs under 20 grams a day. Well, that's about it. Good luck, everybody! BellaLuce4 261 Posted October 22, 2014 I was sleeved 9/16. HW 249 SW 229 CW 210.5 I just came out of a 2 week stall. After I got home from the hospital I went from 228 to 237. But I kept tracking and monitoring everything I ate and drank. It is finally starting to come off again. I also got really sick during this time and could not walk. They have me on prednisone now and the pain is gone. So I have had minimal exercise during this past month. I am just so happy that I did this and feel blessed. Every day really is a gift!!! knzt 69 Posted October 22, 2014 So it sounds like most of us have a stall! How does everyone here get all their Protein in? There is no way I can do it. I can only eat about 2 to 3 tablespoons of food and then I am full.
AllofMe 49 Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) So it sounds like most of us have a stall! How does everyone here get all their Protein in? There is no way I can do it. I can only eat about 2 to 3 tablespoons of food and then I am full. I do, if I have four small meals and two Protein drinks. Usually hit about 65g that way. But I can only eat a few bites at a time too. So I understand how hard it is. Good luck to all. ????AllofMe Edited October 23, 2014 by AllofMe

lessofmevsg 49 Posted October 26, 2014 I was sleeved 9/15/14 @ 0730 in Everett Washington. My surgery was completely painless (minus the air pockets. Gas x fixed those right up.) I was up walking and eating Jello and chicken broth and ice like nobody's business. My surgeon removed my excess stomach through my belly button so it took about a week and a half to heal. I've done fairly well with the diet eating every 2 hours while awake my schedule is Protein Shake for Breakfast yogurt at 10am with granola. 12(ish) lunch usually chicken or fish on whole wheat crackers. Then at 2 I eat cottage cheese. I lost 11 pounds in week 1 and 4 pounds in week 2 then only like a pound a week since then. I'm losing inches tho and my husband says not to worry about the scale. Anyone out there have similar experiences? Starting weight 264 Surgery weight 259 Current weight 238. Ugh.....

lessofmevsg 49 Posted October 26, 2014 Agreed. Slow and steady wins the race. Thanks for reminding me!
K*L*L 26 Posted October 27, 2014 I was sleeved 9/16, and I also feel like I am losing slowly...but like you guys said, slow and steady is better Starting weight: 264 Surgery weight: 253 Current weight: 232 I know I shouldn't pay attention much to the scale, and I wish I would have taken my measurements so I could also track inches lost. I've already had one stall on the scale, but my clothes are definitely looser. I'm putting off buying new clothes as long as I can though... don't want to spend a whole lot of money on clothes that I won't be wearing very long. You guys are doing great!
