Andrew0929 1,101 Posted September 6, 2014 I'm 9 months post-op and I've recently noticed that the incision above my belly button has a hard bump beneath. It's not protruding out, but when touched the bump is very noticeable. I'm really hoping this isn't an incisional hernia. Anyone else have this issue? docbree 199 Posted September 6, 2014 I had an incisional/umbilical hernia from a gall bladder surgery a couple of years ago. The lump was in my belly button, was soft, and I could push it completely back in (although it was very painful to do so).
Sleevarilla 169 Posted September 6, 2014 Best thing to do would be to see your surgeon ... but, soft is probably a hernia and hard might be a reaction to sutures. Or, it could be neither of those, and that's why it would be best to see a doctor
