faithmd 14 Posted May 4, 2007 Here's some links to a few threads about this subject. A couple of these are polls so it's nice to see what the averages are: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=27726 http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=31539 http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=31467 http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=31007 http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=24060 http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=30346
Big As Life 0 Posted May 5, 2007 I had my surgery on Friday and I was able to work on the following Friday...still a bit sore, but I have a desk job...I wouldn't have been able to do a job that is physical...no lifting anything over 20 lbs for the first 2 weeks...I probably would have been able to go back to work sooner, but I took meds for several days...I had a hernia repaired at the same time I had the lapband and had some pain in my back... nurse4126 19 Posted May 5, 2007 hi- I was out for 5 days- I am a nurse but I work with newborns- so no really heavy lifting and my co-workers were awesome! Almost 2 years later and no complications either
