So since july i have been having some issues eating during the day . If i ear certain cheeses up they come in split seconds

Soemthnigs i just can't eat . lettuce is one most of the time . I can not eat before 1 pm or it will most likely come up

i can eat bread but sometimes that comes back up. I have to say that lately i can eat dinner and then maybe some little things for lunch but thats it. some stuff some stuff just will not sit . my last fill was in march and maybe its gotten tighter with stress . i feel like a idiot that can not get these last 20 off. i just know i can not eat a lot at all but i have not lost any more weight . i wonder if my body may be in starvation mode

please help

Count me as one of the few who doesn't really buy into the "starvation mode" idea. I spoke with my nut about this issue and she said that our bodies might slow down somewhat if we are eating 600 cals a day but if you're burning more cals than you consume you should be losing weight?

Do you track how many cals you put in your mouth each time you eat? Are you exercising? Do you know how many cals you burn each day, including your normal daily routine plus how many you burn with extra activity? Did you read my answer to your other post regarding if you're too tight? Try the Soup test to determine if you're too tight?

I too thought I was too tight 2 years ago and had some saline removed. That helped but then I had this epiphany that I wasn't eating slow enough and wasn't chewing food to a mush. I thought I was doing it all right but I wasn't. The foods you mention are tough for most banders to consume. Lettuce is no problem for me but maybe I chew more than you? But bread and lettuce and cheese if eaten too fast can all clog up your stoma.

I don't track calories. I think I need to follow a eating plan and I am starting back to the gym tomorrow ! I am so sad I can seem to loose anything. I was 241 now 153 give or take I feel like a failure that can't get down any more

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
