September 4th is getting so close

Starting to get nervous!! Never had surgery before and this is a big one. Advice for pre-surgery nerves??

I just had bypass on the 27 th and like you this was my first major surgery. My advice would to be distract yourself the day before. The straight liquid was tough on me. The surgery was much simpler than I expected and the pain was minimal. A good support system is extremely helpful too. Good Luck!

Oh the nerves! Just keep doing your thing as usual. Try drinking chamomile tea, I got really nervous at the hospital when they called me for the surgery. I was trembling but immediately I got the anesthesia so I don't remember anything else. Good luck!
