Gendy 27 Posted August 31, 2014 Has anyone been told to quit the caffeine prior to surgery? My Dr has and I'm really having a hard time switching to caffeine free coffee. I need something to wake me up in the morning.

paj92434 27 Posted August 31, 2014 Hello, I'm 5 months out and I have ONE cup of regular coffee a day, in the morning. I have no negative issues with this. The only problem you may have is that if you drink this it may interfere with your other liquids or your Breakfast ie Protein intake. It is unrealistic to me that I cannot have certain things that I enjoy. This surgery has enabled me to know what moderation is. This is just me and I am not trying to tell anyone else to do anything that their doc says to do or not to do.
