No one is more excited at my weightloss and energy than my 8 1/2 year old boxer, Sadie. She gets to take me on walks! I don't even have to say walk in the morning she just pleads with her big brown sappy boxer eyes until she motivates me. I get out her halti (anti pull collar) and leash and she just about comes undone. It's adorable. Then when we get home I check our progress on my fitbit. Yay!!!

Sounds very familiar. My doggie is my trainer. :)

I got my first dog after I had a stroke at age 40 16 years ago -- he was my rehab buddy, so I know what you mean! Now my current babies are looking forward to a more athletic mom. Today we are taking two introductory classes; a rally obedience class and a nose work class (I want to see if all that sniffing can be put to good use).

How do you like the fit bit? I just joined a gym and got a trainer, but estimating the exercise/calories burned is tough in My Fitness Pal. Is the Fit Bit worth t?

Not only do my DOGS get to take me on walks , but they get to finish what I cant eat. It's a perfect match. Love my Dawgs.

Just got a new to the family dog. He is a Shi-poo. Love him...3 months old now and I take him for walks every day. He picks up every leaf, twig and stone on the way. Better then a street cleaner...lol

LOVE the fitbit zip. I got it as a gift, it's $50 for the tiny thing. I got an email telling me my battery was low, what battery to buy and how to install it. Pretty cool little gadget.

My Sadie ALSO loves finishing my meals. She is so smart she determines when I'm nearing the "that's all I can take" moment and will come stand in front of me waiting. I brought back a burger I ate only 4 bites of...peeled the bun off. She left a trail of lettuce and onion but ate the tomato! She's definitely my trainer and the weight loss is really adding up. Keep up the good work!

LOVE my Fitbit. I have the Flex.

I move much more than I would without it.

I'll haveto look into it. I'm working out with a trainer now so it will be nice to track that.

Oh, with all this talk about dogs, I thought maybe folks were putting the FitBit on them! You know that's cheating! ;-)

I love both my FitBit Flex and my FitBit Aria scale!!! The scale is pricey, but totally worth it! You guys should add me on FitBit: steffi.howell88@gmail.com

Hey kimpossible...a little off-topic...but I see you have a Boxer. Mine is 4...super hyper and crazy. I know she needs wayyy more exercise, but her leash manners stink. I tried a halti and she freaked out. Any tips? I want to walk her, but she pulls so much she hurts herself and she's so darn strong!

They do not like halti's! But for their safety when they are pullers, it's necessary. I used one on my very hyper 100 lb plus lab (who at 11 was still hyper). My boxer is used to it but she still shakes her head trying to get it off. Try treats and praise as you put it on, on the walk, etc. they won't pull for long before they get the idea. I was amazed what it did for my lab. Good luck! Keep at it.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
