August 28, 2014 sleeve is done.

Recommended Posts

I arrived at the hospital on Thursday for my sleeve surgery and they filled me full of liquids while I was awaiting the surgery and then afterwards. They were freaking out because my body wasn't eliminating the fluids the way they wanted it to. They sent me a plate full of liquid diet food and none of it was tasty enough to eat. I guess that's how you lose weight, nothing tastes any good. I guess this is what I wanted.

I hope you get to feeling better soon. I also had my sleeve on the 28th. Every time I swallow it burns and the main incision hurts very bad. I am finding it hard to stand up. It pulls like there is a rope tied around my incision and pulling through my back.

I was sleeved on Thursday too. I had lots of trouble passing Water initially after the surgery, but there's no stopping me now.

Not feeling at all hungry, just trying to get my liquid diet in because I really don't want to lose any hair! All in all though, I'm not in a lot of pain, just my main incision and the gas pain which is much better than it was. Still feeling very nauseous, but surgeon says that is mostly to do with the hernia repair he had to do at the same time.

I got my revision band to sleeve on Aug. 28,2014 and I've experienced so much pain. I was able to pass gas without any problems and drink Water smoothly but my head is throbbing (lack of coffee) . Do you know if we can drink coffee?

Congratulations on getting sleeved up!

I have yet to be sleeved, looking at December now. As excited as I am, I am anticipated it being a very difficult process that will involve grieving. I have used food as a drug all my life and I know having to change that is going to be the hardest thing I have ever done. I believe the journey does become less of a struggle but it still will have challenges. It takes a lot of courage to do what you just did:)

All the best! A new and much better life is waiting to be lived
