kjharris0775 0 Posted August 30, 2014 I'm 5 days post op (lap band) and I feel like I still need pain meds even though my doctor only gave me 5 days worth. I've already requested the refill through my pharmacy and my dr. Does anyone have or had pain linger past pain meds? Since I was only prescribed 5 days worth I feel like 1-I'm a wimp or 2-I'm a wimp ???? thanks for the comments. All are welcome ????
KarenWB 20 Posted August 30, 2014 I'm six months post op and I still have port pain. It is really bad when I cough, sneeze or blow my nose. Ugh Had to have a floroscopy test last Tuesday to see if anything was wrong but all was fine. Well, then why the pain? My surgeon said all he could do is inject anesthetic into the area and steroids to "calm" it down. ???
kjharris0775 0 Posted August 30, 2014 I do feel more pain when I cough. Haven't sneezed yet. I'm too afraid to. Lol! But bumping it with my arm or trying to move while laying down is just killer. I hope they figure it out for you. 6 months is a long time. Good luck
lilacroses 2 Posted September 1, 2014 I'm 3 days postop lapband. The pain from my incisions is getting better but I hurt after I swallow and feel like there is air that needs to come up. Is that normal? Is there anything I can do to alleviate that? I'm using gasx. Drinking a lot.
kjharris0775 0 Posted September 1, 2014 I had gas for a few days too. I did drink straight hot Water to break it down. It worked for me. I didn't have any tea in the house water was it. It worked. I haven't had any swallowing issues tho. Maybe call your Dr in case you're having a reaction to something?
