golden39 10 Posted August 29, 2014 I am only 6 weeks post op but really missing my morning Starbucks. I have been allowing myself 1 cup of coffee first thing in the morning and that is doing well. I know when Starbucks says their drinks are 'skinny' there is still probably a lot of sugar in them. Has anyone found a drink or version of a drink that is o.k for us RNy's to have that won't cause us to have 'dumping'?
superbariatricbabe 180 Posted August 29, 2014 I think you can request sugar-free and Fat-Free versions of a lot of drinks. A latte with sugar free chocolate Syrup and skim milk does sound pretty amazing right now.
Mayaresearchmom 104 Posted August 30, 2014 Decaf, non-fat caffe misto with sugar free vanilla Syrup. Only 60 calories, 0 grams of fat, 8 grams of carbs, 6 grams of Protein, and 8 grams of sugar for the tall size. If you've ever been to New Orleans and had Cafe au lait at Cafe Dumonde, the taste is almost the same, except for the vanilla.
pookybear 284 Posted August 30, 2014 The good thing about Starbucks is that everything is customizable. Download their app. You can play around with recipes and customize everything to your nutritional needs. Then it tells you how to order it to get it how you want. It's awesome. I love Starbucks. Katherine Durkee 9 Posted September 1, 2014 I was on the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury website last night looking at their recipes. Saw one for a pumpkin Spice Latte. I dearly love those things every fall. Can;t wait till I get to a point where I can try that. A bonus is that I will be getting Protein.
