LoseIt4Ever 14 Posted August 27, 2014 Was banded June 3 and have been doing ok but sometimes forget the band is there. Well, today I had food get stuck for the first time and it's an experience I don't want to repeat. A hard but valuable lesson...slow down and chew chew chew! 2muchfun 8,927 Posted August 27, 2014 Easy to get distracted and eat too big or swallow too soon isn't it?
B-52 7,113 Posted August 27, 2014 If I never got stuck, I never would have had to change my eating methods, and would never had to change the foods I eat...which means I never would have undergone any Behavior Modification, meaning I never would have lost the weight. In other words I never should have had this surgery in the first place... Sure getting stuck is not pleasant...nor is it pleasant to touch a hot stove...sooner or later we all learn... If I had a dollar for all the times I got stuck.......but I learned, and have not had the pleasure in a long time.
LoseIt4Ever 14 Posted August 28, 2014 I think I was eating too fast. It was not pleasant but it was an eye opener and I'm actually glad because now I know what I want to avoid! Thanks for your replies!
