InspirationMySon 135 Posted September 16, 2014 Also my left sided abdominal pain "could be" Constipation, but the Dr is going to take a look/listen on Thursday at my appt. I had a lot of pain as well on that side until I had a bowel movement, I found that Miralax once a day is helping me stay "regular" all the Protein is famous for binding you up. Fingers crossed that they have nothing but good news at the apt! I saw your weight loss that's awesome!! I wasn't as heavy as some when I got my surgery so I expect my weight loss to be slow but was surprised to have lost 10 pounds this week as well!!
msspiceybaby 58 Posted September 16, 2014 I haven't been on iin a few days . I am so thrilled to hear that everyone is doing so well. No COPD issues. Hopefully no colds within the next 3 weeks. I don't want to have to re-schedule my surgery. My mom will be home tonight. I'll be heading over to her house to take care of her. I wish she could see and understand the steps I'm going through . She used to say You need to try to lose so weight for your health. I told her about the program and hope that she can understand somewhere within.
InspirationMySon 135 Posted September 16, 2014 Our menu had refried Beans on it, so I tried them tonight. They went down pretty good. I am so looking forward to egg salad that's sad huh!?! lol Tomorrow we are taking our son to a 4H fair, it should be perfectly terrible smelling all the fair food. It's like being pregnant again I can't stand how things smell. I am looking forward to seeing how excited my son gets about the animals again this year. angelicHG7 118 Posted September 17, 2014 Ugh.... My incisions/scabs are starting to get itchy. I hate that because it's soooo hard not to scratch. I just hope I don't do it in my sleep. I had some chobani yogurt today.... It was a nice change and 12 grams of Protein.

I was thinking about egg salad too but then quickly turned to thoughts of deviled eggs. LOL I'm really curious if I will be able to tolerate scrambled eggs when the time comes.... That seems to be a huge issue for a lot of ppl.
InspirationMySon 135 Posted September 17, 2014 I guess eggs can be really dry & get stuck. A poached egg might be better since it's runny & cooked in Water put a touch of cheese on it while it's in the pan then it's going to have a touch more flavor. angelicHG7 118 Posted September 17, 2014 I can't eat runny eggs.... I can't wait to give them a try though.
mightyschratt 30 Posted September 17, 2014 All I can think about is Thanksgiving and Christmas food, especially the cornbread stuffing with giblet gravy my Mom makes!!!
mightyschratt 30 Posted September 17, 2014 Other than that, I'm allergic to milk and eggs.< /p>
mightyschratt 30 Posted September 17, 2014 I can't eat eggs, but I love making omelets for my family. Instead of cooking them in butter and grease, I put everything in a zip-lock bag, mix it all up, and either microwave it or boil the bag for a few minutes! Best omelets ever!!! angelicHG7 118 Posted September 17, 2014 Stuffing is the best part of the feast for sure....maybe I should start looking for alternatives.
InspirationMySon 135 Posted September 18, 2014 I would say that turkey would be about as much as any of us should really be eating that day. Everything else is fat & carb laden so if it doesn't cause dumping it's going to slow your weight loss. Plus there is a really good chance stuffing will get stuck it's sticky & in some cases dry. I plan to get some reduced fat gravy so I can enjoy moist turkey. Maybe some green Beans or some other veggies if I have progressed to that. I read a post some place else about really being "good" have until you reach your goal because it starts with things like Thanksgiving & you just come undone. We all worked hard to get here so let's think of other rewards for ourselves like getting a new shirt, a pedi or our hair down to reward ourselves for exercising self control & sticking to our diet? angelicHG7 118 Posted September 18, 2014 I think you misunderstood.... We weren't talking about eating it. It's coming up and I was referring to what I will miss most about the thanksgiving feast. Trust me... I am not a huge fan of traditional holiday feasts, so those aren't even triggers for me. It's so hard to know what ppl are really trying to say when they are posting. angelicHG7 118 Posted September 18, 2014 Hey girl.... I was just thinking about you last night. I'm glad that things are falling in-line for you. I can't wait to hear all about your process. You will still be a Sept. Baby!!!! Yay I am doing great.... I'm pretty much feeling back to normal other than the minor itch I get every now and then around my incisions. Oh... And it's soooo hard for me to drink Water but I'm not giving up. I have been able to tolerate all of my pre-approved drinks/soups/puddings/jello.... And I am very thankful to have been mostly pain free from surgery. I am finally losing so that's the biggest plus.... But I'm trying not to let that be everything. Please let me know when you find out your date....
