weightloss4liss 5 Posted August 26, 2014 Just had RNY on Aug 18. Can't eat enough Protein and what little I do get doesn't stay in! I can't stay out of the bathroom. I start running within 5 minutes of eating and then keep running every 5-10 minutes. I can't even sleep through the night without getting up to run to the bathroom several times. Anyone else have this problem? How long does it last? Anything I can do?
golden39 10 Posted August 27, 2014 Hi weightloss4liss... I think you should call your doc as you will become dehydrated very fast line this. The doc can call in a prescription for nausea medicines or others depending on the full extent of your symptoms. .. A small amount of nausea is normal but should not be affecting your sleep and you should still be able to keep some things down .
allielee 263 Posted August 27, 2014 Call your doctor! I never had nausea except for when I was coming out of anesthesia. Better to be safe than sorry.
weightloss4liss 5 Posted August 27, 2014 Thank you! I did call my doctor today, and was able to get some medication that is already starting to help. :-)

weightloss4liss 5 Posted August 28, 2014 I'm doing so much better, thank you! I've been quite hungry today, for the first time since surgery. I eat about 2 ounces of food maybe 5 times a day. But I'm so thankful to be feeling better :-)

pa gjgoss 1 Posted August 28, 2014 Hi weightloss4liss! I had bypass surgery on 8/14 but have been lucky enough not to have any major issues. The hardest challenge I continue to experience is mental cravings. I just keep telling myself I didn't go through the past 11 months to mess up now. This journey will not be easy but hopefully rewarding!
golden39 10 Posted August 28, 2014 Weightliss4liss so glad you are feeling better! Sometimes you just need a little help getting over a hump ( ie. the meds)
golden39 10 Posted August 29, 2014 Had my first bought of nausea and vomitting yesterday. Note to self....never eating dry fish again!!! worse thing ever! It got stuck and then could not get relief for over an hour after throwing up a couple of times. Keeping meats moist is an absolute!
weightloss4liss 5 Posted August 30, 2014 Sorry that you didn't feel well. I hate feeling poorly. But thank you for the memo to self....I will remember not to eat dry food!
golden39 10 Posted September 1, 2014 Yup weightloss4liss... It is all about learning as we go. I had BBQ'd chicken today but put some dressing on it to help moisten and that went fine
