SBovee 20 Posted September 29, 2014 Started my 2 week liquid diet today. Surgery is Oct. 13. I've done ok today until right now. I really am hungry!! Hope this gets easier. Anyone else that has started the liquid diet struggling? I've struggled almost everyday with it. I thought it was supposed to get easier but I'm on day 7 and it hasn't, at least for me. barbermary 8 Posted September 30, 2014 I forget the name of the hospital but it is in Tijuana. I spend the night at the Marriot on Wednesday, two nights at the hospital and then two more at the Marriot and back to San Diego on Monday and fly out about 3pm. Where are you from? I'm from the Houston area. Hello I think our two hospitals are pretty close to each other. Do you fly into San Diego? I fly there Wednesday. I am going to Mexicali bariatric center in Baja California, mexico. I am excited and nervous as well. How long do they keep you in the hospital? Lets definitely keep in touch we will literally be going thru this together. Best wishes to you too and safe travels.

fosho1976 11 Posted September 30, 2014 Grrrr. Got a call today. The surgery coordinator was off for a couple weeks. Apparently the person taking over for her messed up. My surgery was bumped from 10/6 to 10/14. Then my husband called and bitched. She called me back a few hours later and said they had a cancellation 9/22 if I wanted it. That's just a little toooo soon since I haven't planned for it, have patients scheduled, would have to start post op diet TOMORROW. She said she was going to offer someone else on 10/6 the earlier appointment and try to get me back on 10/6. Still haven't heard back from her! Soooooo frustrating.KarenI hope they got you worked out - they're really messing with your schedule - I see. Where you able to keep your October surgery date? I have been to my initial visit, now in October I will have my psyc evaluation, my EGD, my first nutritionist visit, and 2 of my 3 support group meetings. I am hoping that by December or January I will have my date.

I am starting to feel the effects already of no sugar, caffeine, carbs...but like you said...ONLY 12 MORE DAYS! Wow!!! This is fantastic! How do you feel overall? Are you able to work ft w/the pre-op? I'm worried I'll be super exhausted... And I start mine tomorrow..
