EddysLady4Life 3 Posted August 24, 2014 I've already started eating as if I've had the surgery just because I truly believe it will be easier for me to have most things not be such a shock to my system. I just had some pork steak tho and I seriously want to go throw it up. Is pork something that is a no go after surgery as well?
SherB 220 Posted August 25, 2014 I have to wait several months to eat pork or beef. Has something to do with the texture and stringiness.
jazzy59 8 Posted August 25, 2014 I'm only 4 months out and I can pretty much eat anything. I thought I would have more problems. I'm happy in a way but worried in another, I had a leak one week after my surgery and ended up in the hospital for another week. Not good but I have lost 63 lbs so far. I'm worried though because I had a piece of birthday cake yesterday and had no problem. Yikes! I was hoping it would make me sick. Tonight I had steak and again just fine. I want this too much though to just allow myself to go backwards. Going to get into some groups or something.
Truckerchic 171 Posted August 28, 2014 Everyone is different in what their new tummy will handle and almost like a baby if something doesn't agree with you one day try it again in a few weeks... I have found nothing I can't eat, although some greasy foods make my tummy icky and turns me off to wanting to eat it again. I can handle regular sugar better than sugar free, I do try to eat right but this is a life long journey and some days I do better than others... good luck
