honeybunz 139 Posted August 24, 2014 I've seen post saying that 5-8 bites fills some people up. Are y'all talking about like a baby spoon full bite? Less? More? Just trying to get an idea. I'm so scared I'm going to mess this up. Thanks!
swtpea637 33 Posted August 24, 2014 I am too....this is the one shot that I get to start over .... and messing it up is not an option ... if you haven't started reading the big book on the gastric sleeve...my suggest ...you may want to consider checking it out...it has been an incredible source of info ... just a suggestion ... macman 603 Posted August 24, 2014 I am eight months post surgery. I can eat or drink most anything I want. My Protein is still about 4 ounces at any one time, which is about the size of the palm of my hand. I use a baby fork, mostly to remind me to take small portions and chew thoroughly. On the occasion that I have made a wrap, using low carb wraps, I can take a normal bite. I intentionally take smaller bites to remind myself to eat slowly. jhaymom 38 Posted August 24, 2014 I remember my nut saying food should be cut into M&M size.
honeybunz 139 Posted August 25, 2014 I remember my nut saying food should be cut into M&M size. See, that just blows my mind. So, with the sleeve 5 or so bites the size of m&m's fills you up. Trying to wrap my head around this.
jhaymom 38 Posted August 25, 2014 In the beginning yes it will be that way. I'm 5 weeks out and can still only eat one scrambled egg or maybe 2oz of yogurt, Soup, purée tuna. I have started getting 4-6 oz of Protein Shake at a time! It's hard to imagine ever being like this but I actually love it! I'm down 36 lbs and loving this new body!
