wolfmaydn 0 Posted May 3, 2007 Hi my name is Krisen I am new to this lap band process and was just banded on April 30, 2007. The day after the surgery was the worst so far, mostly because i was in the hospital and it was hard to just get up and walk when i wanted to. But once i was home i felt sooo much better. So far the hardest thing to do is to make sure that I get my 64oz of Water in each day. I just still feel too full to drink something every 15 min. It is like my tummy is full, but i am still hungry a little...craziest feeling. Anyways, i just wanted to introduce myself. If anyone has any question please let me know. I look forward to reading and posting on many threads. Thanks
emadrak 0 Posted May 3, 2007 I am at the midway point right now. I have been to the consultation, nutritionist, pyshc visit and support group. But I still have another 3 months to go before I can even apply for surgery to my insurance company. I am excited and frustrated b/c I just want to do it. But I know that the process is just part of the journey.
keiko 1 Posted May 4, 2007 Hi Wolfmaydn, I'm glad to hear it's going well so far. I'm part of the May bandsters (May 16) and I'm reading everything from everyone to help ease my worries. It's not fear of surgery (I've had surgery before) but fear of it somehow not working for me. I think that because every diet I've been ultimately failed, I can't really believe that something will work permanently. I know I will be in the hospital overnight because I have sleep apnea and the doctor said I'll have to stay overnight-grrrr! I know I'd feel much more comfortable at home. Thanks for sharing your story and let us know how things go for you. Keiko
