Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted August 24, 2014 Is it just me or does the rash of raves about GENEPRO Protein on this board lately sound very scripted? If you are shilling for the company you need to be open and above board. I have never tried the product and based on the red flags that go up when I read these "reviews" I won't be trying it. Does anyone else have a problem with this kind of covert marketing?
haleytrim 244 Posted August 24, 2014 I wholeheartedly agree! IMO the idea is for those of us who do not have vested interests in any products or medical entities to give our experiences or opinions. NOT for vendors. That is what the little pop-up ads are for. It has much more impact when it is someone who has actually used the product or doctor, surgeon or hospital. As you stated, you can tell when it's a "put up" job.
tymellow 13 Posted November 6, 2014 I am in no way a vendor or affiliated with the GENEPRO company. I do agree with you about all the reviews not only for this product but others as well. But I took a chance with GENEPRO, I must say I was very impressed. I 3 vendors took the bag to my ARNPC who is my program coordinator. We sit and looked up each ingredient she was impressed with it as well. Her only concern was one of the ingredients is used to treat anarexia. She advised just to be vigilant about watching your weight and not using it as your soul source of Protein. I first tried it in just plain Water to test the no taste and no smell. I mixed on scoop with 16 Oz of Water. It doesn't dissolve real quickly but it does. It looks like water downed milk in the water. But for me there was no smell and no real taste in the water. But you do have to keep it stirred up cuz if not then it might be a little gritty but still no taste. The $38 is a little pricy but average price for a decent Protein powder. So anyways that's my opinion of it and I currently use I scoop a day. Again I have nothing to do with the company and this is just on own personal review. roundisashape 712 Posted November 6, 2014 YES!!! It might be a great product or it might not, but I thought the same thing about some of the posts. Especially with the whole, "approved by Johns Hopkins" bit - I'm in the program there and no one has said a word about it.
briefs199 337 Posted November 6, 2014 I tried it myself today. You have to keep stirring and stirring.
