susanmh 2 Posted August 24, 2014 Good luck!! I had my sleeve done this past Thursday and I feel really good. The gas has been the worse part. And it's not terrible. Be sure to get up and take small walks. I actually feel so good I'm going to go to work for a few hours tomorrow. :-).

gottagonow 82 Posted August 24, 2014 Best wishes! Walking was a breeze for me with my morphine drip. I missed it when I got home but walking truly helps with a lot of what ails us shortly after surgery.

Fox-E 27 Posted August 27, 2014 Surgery went just fine. Was in the hospital for two nights. Came home this morning. Experienced some nausea the day after surgery. I'm on full liquids right now and am glad to be eating Greek yogurt or sugar free pudding. Pain hasn't been too bad. They had me on Dilaudid. I had my last dose yesterday and haven't needed anything for pain since. The worst pain I'm having right now is in the form of a headache. I still have some gas blocked in my abdomen from surgery, and I wish it would just get out. I've also started crushing and taking meds. Most are tolerable, except for Metformin. THERE IS NO WAY I am trying this again crushed. It was so nasty!!!! What experiences have you all had with trying to take your Metformin after surgery.
