I had my surgery yesterday morning and it went perfect. I started walking last night around 6pm. The Pain wasn't that bad. I had aching in my belly bot no gas pains thank god. Today I've walked several times and the took me off the morphine. The morphine just helped me sleep. Only my right side seems to hurt for some reason it may be where he pulled my stomach through. Any I just wanted to let you all know that the pain is not that bad. Good luck to everyone getting sleeved this week.

Awesome to hear everything went smoothly and you aren't in much pain. Definitely reassuring to those of us that are still pre-op.

Congrats on no pain. KEEP WALKING to rebuild your core strength and you might take some gas x strips just in case. Keep us posted.

Maybe I spoke to soon. Lol. I have little pain in my stomach after I drank some Water this afternoon. I've been walking so it really does help. I'm tired bit that from not getting enough sleep last night.

I'm sure it will get better everyday.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
