sleepy12 0 Posted August 21, 2014 I had my surgery on July 23 and lost 17 lbs, but once I started regular diet I have not lost weight in 11 days. Averaging 900 calories a day and exercising
DevineMissM 59 Posted August 21, 2014 Sleepy12 don't give up... You'll probably get on the scale and lose all the weight at one time.

2muchfun 8,927 Posted August 21, 2014 You won't lose weight every week or maybe not every month. Read this article: http://www.dsfacts.com/weight-loss-stall-or-plateau.html
Bmjohnson 84 Posted August 21, 2014 I weigh once a month. I dont even own a scale at home, i weigh at the doctors office. Dont get discouraged. Just have someone hide your scale for a couple of weeks.
Lady VS 1,147 Posted August 22, 2014 Your body has to adjust to all these changes that it's going through and these things take time. Make sure you're measuring your food and drink your Water. Best wishes
HealthyNewMe 1,935 Posted August 22, 2014 I just came off of a SIX WEEK stall. Very normal....... Very disappointing, but very normal.
alisadiane 18 Posted August 22, 2014 My surgery date was July 25 and I haven't lost anything since the week after surgery when I was still in liquids. I was getting discouraged recently and obsessive about stepping on the scale, so finally I told my boyfriend to hide the damn scale and I would weigh myself once a week starting after my first fill (not till sept 2). Don't get discouraged! We are in this stage where the band isn't able to do what it's supposed to do! I've set goals for myself that I am building great habits and behaviors for working out and exercising. I'm not focusing on any numbers except for Protein needs and good eating habits. Good luck! Don't stress about the number!!
cheryl2586 3,053 Posted August 22, 2014 There are going to be times that you dont lose weight every day, week or even every month. It just happens that way. Stay off the scale and get weighed at your follow up appointments.
NurseTammy 8 Posted August 22, 2014 Ditto, I have been stuck at 271 for a week. I'm 3 1/2 weeks post op. I've heard of the plateau at 3 weeks post op I'm staying off the scale for a few days.
Tomander 614 Posted August 22, 2014 That's very normal. I'm with MBJohnson. I don't own scales. I only get weighed in once a month with my family doctor. While I was losing I got weighed and measured every month by family doctor and I also got weighed in every time I went in for an adjustment at my clinic (4 times)... best thing I ever did. Keep track of your measurements instead of the number on the scale... you'll be glad you did. Tom, Toronto Banded July 6 06 Wt. Loss: 160 lbs
HealthyNewMe 1,935 Posted August 22, 2014 Getting rid of the scale and weighing just at the doctor's office was THE MOST LIBERATING THING that I've ever done in 53 years!!!!!!!
