Jen - a work in progress 178 Posted November 16, 2014 I don't know. I guess I think he'll be concerned with my energy levels dropping or something from all the running around or the increased activity without being able to take in enough food for fuel. I know I can't lift or help patients up too much because I'm still healing. I know how to take it easy and I work with a great team so they're always willing to help. Jen I went back to work full time after 2.5 weeks. I have been exhausted, but fine. I am a coordinator at a hospital. A lot of walking back and forth, but not extremely stressful. Good luck! sschoch30 60 Posted November 17, 2014 I'm having a lot of weakness also. It will be 3 weeks since my surgery on Tues. I am not ready to go back to work. Just getting dressed in the morning is exhausting. Has anyone tried New Whey Protein Shots? I think I'm weak due to not getting enough Protein. But I still haven't been able to find anything that I can tolerate. I get so nauseated. If it wasn't for my lack of energy I would be able to go back to work now. I'm eating soft foods and doing well. But not enough to meet my daily requirements.
Peekboo 472 Posted November 17, 2014 Sschoch Try the Unjury vanilla Protein Shakes. Just add about 2 ounces more of Water. Its very easy to dissolve and ypu can add a little peanut buttet or banana or a teaspoon of instant coffee to it. That drink was a lifesaver for me. I also really like the Champion chocolate brownie. I get mine from my surgeons office but it can be ordered on line from Amazon as well.
