It's so funny. I can't tell you how many times I've read about people wondering if they were sleeved. I was one of them too.

Here's another funny (in case you didn't see it on FB)

I'm walking through the grocery store and at least 7 times I'm nervous I'm going to lose my shorts and underwear because they are too big. I kept trying to pull up everything ! Guess it's better than everyone seeing everything Funny !

Things I'm enjoying now...

- String cheese. Sometimes cheese wrapped in a thin slice of procuito (sp)

- Grilled fish with a slice or two of avocado

- Crab. Went out and had crab legs with my husband and best friend. My husband and I had 3 clusters of crab legs. I ate all the small legs and 2 small claws.

- love hummus with a string cheese. That's a great go to snack

- and I love my scrambled egg with a touch of cheese and ketchup.

Why I felt like sharing all that... well that's beyond me LOL. I"m tried.

Have a great day everyone !!!

Susan

I use the Carabas recipe for lentils and sausage Soup then bled it. Dont e the hot Italian sausage at this point. It taste awesome. I didn't have to blend it but it's great that wat too. Use chicken broth instead of the meat for the rich flavor.

@@chellede, thanks for sharing what you're enjoying these days. you gave me a few ideas for the soft food stage, it would be nice if others shared too.

I saw on the world according to eggface blog that she took a slice of deli turkey, rolled cheese & chilies in the middle & pan fried it. Sometimes changing it out w/lean ham . Great lunch idea when I go back to work next week.

Peek...I need to lose 150 lbs. I currently have lost 14.2 lbs since October 23rd which was my surgery date! It's not moving super fast but, that's about a pound a day and I can definitely live with that! ????

Hey y'all. I was sleeved 10-28 so I'm on day 7. My friend wants to go eat tomorrow and I don't want to deprive her skinny lil butt of food. Haha! So can y'all recommend any safe restaurants? I have just moved on to Protein Shakes, cream Soups & smoothies. Thanking you in advance!!! :-)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
