darlinchris73 2 Posted August 20, 2014 I had sleeve surgery on the 11th. The shoulder pain seems to be lingering from the gas. The last couple of days it has been almost unbearable. I started back to work and I am hurting so bad. I use a heating pad and gas-x regularly. The pain medication does not help. I have walked plenty as well. It still hurts when I take deep breaths or more suddenly. Need some knew ideas to get rid of this. I can't take much more. I know people's bodies react differently to surgery but shouldn't this be gone by now.
Summer Rain 245 Posted August 20, 2014 You might want to contact your surgeon? Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

darlinchris73 2 Posted August 21, 2014 I called the office this morning. They said it could last 3-4weeks. To not worry. I used salonpas Patches last night and did some stretching excercises for my arm and rotator cuff. It seemed to relieve the pain for a few hours so I could sleep. Stayed home from work today. I don't want to over do it. Luckily I have been at my job for 17 years and have more than enough sick hours. Thanks for the encouragement. I need it.
KariBari 4 Posted August 22, 2014 I also had my surgery on the 11th, the pain in my shoulder was so bad it was preventing me from getting enough of my fluids down. I went in for a chest X-ray to find that Fluid was building around my left lung and that's what was hurting. I got some antibiotics and within a day or so relief.
