Tigermouse74 22 Posted August 20, 2014 Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone would be able to shed some light on my plight. I was sleeved on 16th June 2014, and everything went really well. No post op pain, no complications, following diet restrictions etc. Then last week I started getting flank pain over the lower right side ribs directly over the stomach area. It usually feels mild in the morning, then intensifies in the afternoon. I have a lot of nausea after eating anything at all, and with some foods I get the chills, sweats, rapid heart rate and dizziness. But I wake up feeling hungry! I thought it might be my gallbladder at first, but after doing some research, I found out that the pain should be on the right side for gallbladder not the left like mine. I have been under a lot of stress over the last few weeks, and am wondering if this could be the cause. If it is, the pain is not helping my stress levels! Lol. I will contact my surgeon but not until I've had my medical on Friday for my visa application. (the reason for all my current stress)! I guess what I'm asking is, has anyone else experienced this, and is it normal?
VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted August 20, 2014 Why would you wait to contact our surgeon until after your visa application? I think you should contact him/her NOW.
Tigermouse74 22 Posted August 20, 2014 Thanks VSGAnn2014, I guess I'm conscious of sounding silly to my surgeon if this is just part of the normal journey for most. I will give him a call tomorrow, I just wont have the time to go in to see him until after Friday because his surgery is about an hour away, and my visa medical is about two hours in the opposite direction. So I guess I've been a bit silly waiting so long in the first place. I thought it would pass, but I'm not so sure now. I'll take your advice though and contact him asap.
