What's your daily vitamin schedule?

Recommended Posts

I'm suppose to take a Multi-Vitamin, calcium citrate after each meal, B-complex and B-12 and Iron (at bedtime). Problem, I'm suppose to take chewables but haven't found multi-vitamin (except gummies which are a no as per my NUT) and I take a thyroid pill first thing in morning and I can't take a Vitamin or other pill 4 hours after taking thyroid pill. Trying to work on a schedule... Wondering how everyone else takes their pills? Before sleeve Dr. recommended fish oil. No one has mentioned them. My Dr. appt still one week away... Oh and do you crush, swallow or cut your pills?

I think if you could break it down into mg per meal you would be better off. My Dr. said the chewy bariatric Vitamins are fine but I wasn't supposed to start until week 4. so I take my B-12 in the morning and then my Iron pill on an empty stomach this is about 6: 30 am when I go to work. Then Breakfast at 8 with my first 500 mg calcium citrate chew. I have 3 of those a day with each meal. At the end of the day I take my multivitamin since this one seems to make me a little nauseas. I hope this helps.

I take my multi-vitamin four times a day. I am taking the chewable Opti-Source Post Bariatric Vitamins. My sublingual B-12 at Breakfast. B-1 at breakfast. Calcium Citrate plus D at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Vitamin D at breakfast. Iron at bedtime.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
