Same boat as you I'm 5'6 my heaviest was 226. Had surgery in June. Down to 180. I'm very happy with my results so far. My goal is 150. I'm down to a size 10 jeans, from a tight 16. I have two kids, my before kids weight was around 145. So 150 will be great for me! Good luck, this was the best decision for me! I love the sleeve. I also work out 3x week.

That is awesome! I've been walking a lot but haven't been able to workout. I was in five hotels in different cities the last two weeks alone. Many don't have workout equipment. IM managing though.

My current weight is your starting weight! :-)

Sleeved this morning!!! Surprisingly, I'm feeling not too bad. Been up walking around the floor several times. Nothing to drink today. Tomorrow starts my liquids. Other than feeling groggy from the anesthesia, I feel great!!!!!

How are you? Still feeling good?

I feel really good! I get pains when I eat but they go away within seconds; I figure, it's just my new belly adjusting. Did your stomach ache after each meal? Does this feeling eventually subside?

I usually measure my food to help with portions. It I don't eat more than 1/2-3/4 cup, I'm ok. My stomach gurgles when it's empty though. It's different than hunger. So I have to eat every 3 hours or so.

At 8weeks, are you still on liquids only? What types of foods can you eat?

I eat pretty much everything. I always start with Protein. I drink a Premier Protein each day too. It helps me get to my protein goal each day.

Are you able to drink a whole shake at one sitting? Sorry for all of the questions, just trying to understand what things will be like once I get thru this phase. Thank you so much for answering them:-)

They are 11 ounces so it still takes me a while to drink them but I do drink the whole thing. I'm still struggling with eating slower. It's so hard for me. I really struggle with not drinking with my meals. That is the hardest part.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
