LinsC 10 Posted August 18, 2014 I was banded on 8/14. Over the past days taking deep breathes seem to be difficult and causes a sore sensation in my chest and shoulders. I have been doing some deep breath exercises throughout the day. Does anyone else seem to have this issue? Is it cause I haven't been using my lungs as often during the healing process? MarieMarie 346 Posted August 18, 2014 I had the same issues. I believe just a lot of gas. The more I moved around, the better I felt. I am on day 5 today and the feeling has gone away
CherieRyde 227 Posted August 18, 2014 This is a normal part of the healing process. It goes away, I promise.
iheartz 12 Posted August 18, 2014 I had the same thing. Trapped gas from surgery. Try a heating pad on yor shoulder and chest, it really helped me and just keep moving. One very important thing, the more pain Meds you take the chances of getting constipated are very great which causes more pain. Good luck on your journey. NYDani 2 Posted August 21, 2014 I had the same issue and it freaked me out. But the good news is it will go away. It's gas trapped from your surgery. Gas-X helps and walking.
