I'm 15 days banded and I'm doing really well. My cycle is about to start and that's when I indulge in sweets. Are there there any suggested "treats" besides Jello? I need something to pack for work!

I have no answers. I just finished my cycle and some how managed to gain 2 pounds. I have NO idea how I did that, but I did. Ugh!

Are you allowed SF pudding? It's a staple for me when I want something sweet. What about SF sucking candies. Sometimes one of those like a butterscotch can satisfy the sweet tooth.

I think sugar-free would be fine. I sometimes whip together sugar free pudding and diet whipped topping to make a mousse-like dessert. And I have to admit to enjoying a candy called Chick-O-Stick (crunchy peanut butter/toasted coconut) and it's 70 calories for 3 pieces. I can get enough sweet from just one piece. In a pinch, I have a tiny bit of something sweet. I find I really can't handle too much sweet stuff anymore anyhow.

Try the mousse though. I also use skim milk when making the pudding, just mix it as regular and whip/blend together with the whipped topping.

Can you make a smoothie? There are lots of great recipes online like, cinnamon roll, oatmeal cookie ones etc.

I like to put chocolate Protein Powder skim milk 1/4 packet of chocolate sugar free pudding and ice In a blender. Add a banana or Peanut Butter

Helps curb the sweet tooth. And the pudding and ice give it a milk shake texture.

I suggest dessert sugar free gum. They have great flavors, chocolate mint, peach cobbler and cinnamon roll. I bought these gums yesterday at target.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
