3 months post op feeling confused

Recommended Posts

Heyyy i wonder if any of you have this same issue i do, i have days where I don't want to eat anything and have to force myself, and then I have days where I want to eat a lot, by a lot I mean I feel like it's a lot for the sleeve, I don't get sick but the amount that I could eat makes me wonder if it's normal that I'm eating it, but it is true hunger it's not boredom eating. I walk 8-10 miles a day and kickbox 3-4 times a week, so I wonder if it's my body being hungry from all the working out, but then I think my stomach should still only be able to hold a certain capacity no matter how much I work out... Im just nervous about stretching my sleeve more than anything...

Any advice is appreciated???? thank u! Btw im down 57 lbs if that matters

You said you are walking 8-10 miles/day and kickboxing 3-4 times a week...your body needs fuel to support that activity, so I wouldn't fret too much about it. Now, with that being said, you definitely want to ensure the fuel you're consuming isn't garbage! You don't put cheap fuel in a finely tuned vehicle and expect it to perform like a beast! ;)

One thing I used to do if I got hungry was drink a bottle of Water and chew up two Tums...if I was still hungry after 15 minutes or so, I'd eat...most of the time it wasn't actual hunger.

Down 57 lbs....awesome progress! Good luck on your continued success! :D

That is a lot of exercise! I have days - specially hormonal driven days - where my appetite is much healthier than my new post sleeve normal - I drink a lot of Water and I really try to be mindful and identify if the hunger is real or if it's me tired/bored/sad, etc. If I do eat more, I will eat 4 oz then wait about an hour and have some more. You may want to increase the number of healthy meals on days you work out that much - I mean, likely you are burning more than you are actually eating on 10miles plus kick boxing - That is great, but be aware of burning out :)

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
