DanaKat 39 Posted August 17, 2014 I swear sometimes when I turn, move over or sit up I can hear the band in me. Generally this happens if I have been reclined back and go to sit up all the way. It sounds funky anyone else experience this?
N2DONNAT123 3 Posted August 17, 2014 Wow... are you sure? My surgery was 3 days ago and I need to know about this in advance. I don't want to be freaked out. I'm anxious to hear if anyone else has experienced the same.
JustWatchMe 7,117 Posted August 17, 2014 I don't hear my band exactly. My stomach is noisy a lot. Maybe it's trapped gas? I'm five months out. I'm listening to my stomach right now. Lol
2muchfun 8,927 Posted August 17, 2014 And what does your band sound like?
DanaKat 39 Posted August 17, 2014 And what does your band sound like? I didn't think about it being trapped gas. It sounds like if you were to rub your hand across a balloon but softer. I was not trying to alarm anyone and if I did I'm sorry. It's just an odd sound/feeling I experience and since this is all new to me I wanted to see if anyone else experienced something similar. Zonibrat 4 Posted August 17, 2014 I am 1 week out and have not heard mine.
CherieRyde 227 Posted August 17, 2014 I can't say that I've ever heard mine. I CAN feel my port from the inside when I move certain ways though. Hearing/feeling your band move though ... I'd call your surgeon's office to ask about that.

HotButterFly 981 Posted August 17, 2014 DanaKat... I read the above thread thinking I read you wrote you "felt" your band, but as I read through, I realized I read wrong and then re-read your OP... It sounded funny the second time around (not that your question isn't valid/important) Please let us know what you find.

N2DONNAT123 3 Posted August 21, 2014 For the record...I'm now 8 days out and not a peep. I can, however, feel the band (I think) when I lay on my side in bed. I would definitely check with the physician.
DanaKat 39 Posted August 21, 2014 For the record...I'm now 8 days out and not a peep. I can, however, feel the band (I think) when I lay on my side in bed. I would definitely check with the physician. I saw my doc yesterday and everything is fine. He has patients who have observed the same as myself and he just said we are in tune with our bands. Nothing wrong with my band and I finally got progressed to the next diet phase which includes real food finally!
