I assumed that "I am praying for you" or "sending prayers up" was just a figure of speech? Like not literally praying for you.

When I tell someone I am or I will pray for them I do it then. So, yes, when I tell someone I am praying for them it is literal.

I always say I will send good vibes your way. I do pray for people but if they have an unknown to me religious views, sending good vibes seems to be the most appropriate.

Although, I feel if I don't pray for others it will catch up with me! Stupid omen I feel if I don't do it I'll own up to it. Just a weird thought, huh?. Oh well!!
