Nickole75 12 Posted August 16, 2014 I'm feeling sad today. I'm losing my hair. Just about a week ago it started falling out.. It just comes out in clumps consistently. Does anyone have any advise? Or when it stops/comes back?
LadyPullings 94 Posted August 16, 2014 How's your Protein intake? You look great btw!! Keep up the good work! I haven't had surgery yet but I purchased hair products called aphogee and hairobics and they both have protein in them. You can purchase these products online!! Mojos 10 Posted August 16, 2014 Look into E3LIVE. My mother had the same issue a few years back and she swears by E3live. My surgery is scheduled for Sept 3rd and I plan to start taking it as soon as I can.
ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted August 16, 2014 (edited) losing my hair. - comes out in clumps consistently. @@Nickole75 i was told to take Biotin - its a capsol (msp?) i spoke with my hairdresser and she adviced me to continue to use it - it is supposed to be good for you "normal" people take it too!!! i have very short, thin hair "maybe" a couple of spots got a "little" thinner - but nothing really i'd rather be bummed about my hair for a LITTLE while - then be fat for a LONG while for a couple of months years ago i lost my hair to cancer again, i would rather be bald for a LITTLE while - then have breast cancer bw - think about all the money you save on Shampoo good luck kathy Edited August 16, 2014 by proudgrammy

terilynne1966 12 Posted August 16, 2014 (edited) Mine started falling out about 5 months also. I started using nioxin Shampoo and conditioner and at 8 months it is starting to fill back in. I have lots of fuzzy 1 inch growth coming in. I to was sad, depressed and just freaked out after each time I showered or brushed my hair. Keep up your Protein and Vitamins and ride this stage out. It does come back. Edited August 16, 2014 by terilynne1966
missbrown30 148 Posted August 16, 2014 Hey Nickole. You look great! How much weight did you lose and how long did it take you to lose it? You should probably update your profile because it still says that you've only lost 16 pounds which is obviously incorrect. I really don't have too much advice for the hair loss issue. I've been taking Biotin daily and trying to keep up my Protein intake. You may want to try a Shampoo that doesn't have sulfates in it. Although my hair isn't falling out it is thinning which is bad because my hair was thin from the beginning. Good luck to you.
Nickole75 12 Posted August 16, 2014 Thank you guys for the tips. I'm going to up my Protein and I ordered some Vitamin gummies online today (I hate pills) As of Wednesday I was 70lbs down. That's in 5months 2 weeks. I'm gonna go update my profile!
