HICCUPS!

Every couple of days since surgery (july 28th), I get these super deep, intense hiccups. They seem impossible to get rid of and can go on for hours! Any thoughts?

I only get hiccups when my sleeve is FULL. It's telling me not to eat another bite. Could this be what's happening to you?

If you had a hiatal hernia repair at same time of your sleeve it could be your diaphragm being irritated. I have a few min of hiccups with meals sometimes especially if I eat too fast.

My hiccups were very uncomfortable frustrating but only lasted about 24 hours after surgery. Deep breathing usually helped. I would run that one by your surgeon at your next post-op appointment or by phone if you don't have one for awhile.

I still get hiccups and I had my operation on May 16. For me it's my tell that I've had enough and to stop eating.
