supercomik 45 Posted August 15, 2014 I don't want to identify myself YET but let's just say I was on a certain reality show and won money for losing weight on my own. That was 8'years ago. I kept it off for about 5 but then had surgeries and was severely anemic. That coupled with another issue and I gained a bit back. I'm super short so I decided to give myself this gift. I shouldn't HAVE to work out 2 + hours a day to maintain weight loss. I don't even eat poorly. Just too much of the healthy stuff. (Pretty certain my body believes it's a 6'7" NBA player) in any event my surgery is tomorrow and I'm terrified. There's nothing I hate more than throwing up. Tell me I'll be ok. Thanks in advance. 3 docbree, Spring Dixie and beautysleeve559 reacted to this
NYCkindofgirl 62 Posted August 15, 2014 It is a wonderful thing that you are doing for yourself. You will feel better very soon. Just start walking as soon as they let you. That really helps. Good luck! 2 BeagleLover and BarntruckCutie reacted to this

supercomik 45 Posted August 15, 2014 Getting the sleeve. I'm going to start calling myself "short sleeved girl" I'm a comedian so hopefully I'll heal quickly. Belly laughs are my living. 2 beautysleeve559 and BarntruckCutie reacted to this
Sleevarilla 169 Posted August 15, 2014 Good luck! My surgery is next Wed. and I can definitely empathize with your fears and trepidations. I also find it interesting how each of us seems to have a different thing that scares us the most. I'm not worried at all about vomiting, but anesthesia scares the living daylights out of me. I'll tell you what people keep telling me, stay strong, stay brave, nothing is going to happen that shouldn't happen and this is nothing compared to other things you've been through. phatphotog 61 Posted August 15, 2014 I remember being soooo scared! It was only 10 weeks ago. I almost had a panic attack. But everything went great! Best thing I've ever done for myself. I'm sure it will go great for you too! Good luck tomorrow!!!
Spring Dixie 53 Posted August 15, 2014 I sympatize! I'm sure you'll do just fine though I'm with you with the fear of vomiting. There is nothing I hate more either-mainly because I rarely throw-up, but when I do, my body gives it everything it has which makes it much worse because I fear I'll damage something shortly after surgery. But that fear and the many other fears I have surrounding having this surgery, don't compare to the fear of continuing to live like this. Best of luck with your surgery! 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
supercomik 45 Posted August 15, 2014 Thanks guys. I'm actually excited about the anesthesia. Had to go under for my upper endoscopy. Right before I went down my dr, knowing I was a comic said, any last words. I replied "I know you're using propophyl. And I'm very aware of what the outcome could be. Keep in mind my sister is a lawyer. And we're Jewish"
