fezik23 240 Posted August 14, 2014 Just that question. I was told 1200 mg/day in divided doses. I'm wondering about what kind of instructions others have received.
Kissifur 244 Posted August 14, 2014 (edited) 1500 mg through out the day. I take 3/ 500 mg chewables about 2 hours a part. Edited August 14, 2014 by Kissifur
alwaysvegas 702 Posted August 14, 2014 1200-1500 mg spread out over the day. And not to take Calcium at the same time as Iron as they apparently negatively affect each other's absorption.
VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted August 14, 2014 Two chewable 600 mg Calcium (with D3) pills at different times, but at separate times from the chewable Multivitamin.
Pkdvm 175 Posted August 14, 2014 500 mg calcium citrate 3 times daily- not to be taken within 1 hour of Multivitamin containing Iron
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted August 14, 2014 My team is okay with me getting 1500 mg of Calcium -- either calcium citrate in supplemental form or from my diet. I track my calcium on MFP and usually get at least 1000 mg from my diet, so supplement the other 500 mg. 1 fezik23 reacted to this
itsmekarenlee 129 Posted August 14, 2014 Age 50 and under 1000 mg calcium citrate, 1500 mg for over age
Kindle 8,667 Posted August 15, 2014 I was told 500mg 3 times/day. But I actually only took 500-1000mg once/day probably 5 days a week. My Calcium was actually high on my 6 month labs, so I don't take a supplement anymore. I eat a lot of dairy and drink a lot of milk, so We'll see where my levels are in another 5 months. Forsythia 882 Posted August 15, 2014 None. Swearsies! But I tend to eat a lot of dairy so most days I am over Calcium goal. I was told to take a B-12, Pre-natal and Vitamin D because I'm deficient in Vitamin D.
