2muchfun 8,927 Posted August 14, 2014 It can be. Contrary to what you may have been told, band surgery can be a lot more violent to your stomach and body than doctors profess. Your stomach now has a plastic band wrapped around it. They fried off excess fat from your stomach with a hot scalpel to make room for the band. They pulled your lower stomach up and over the band and sutured it in place with about 6 sutures to keep the band from slipping. Sometimes a stomach can be very swollen and that includes the stoma area. tmf 2 Debbie3sons and toothfairy86 reacted to this
toothfairy86 23 Posted August 14, 2014 Thanks for tmf for explaining that to me. Now it makes sense 1 2muchfun reacted to this
lisacaron 5,075 Posted August 14, 2014 TMF great advice! @@toothfairy86 take it slow. Use tiny medicine cups to sip from and small baby spoon to get the nutrients in and keep your strength up. Congrats to you and you will feel better soon!!! 1 2muchfun reacted to this
MarieMarie 346 Posted August 18, 2014 I have read that some people have a little warm liquid first. Wait ten minutes and then eat or drink
