Krystal0528 118 Posted August 18, 2014 I have lost 55 pounds since surgery on May 14, 2014 and I lost 23 pounds in the 3 weeks before surgery on my liquid diet. So 55 pounds since surgery, 78 pounds overall. I feel wonderful, have more energy and know for sure this was the best decision I could have ever made for myself. I am losing a good amount of hair. That's my only regret and side effect. I haven't been exercising at all. I need to start!!!!! Are u taking all of ur required Vitamins? If so what r u taking? I to have noticed my hair thinning out a lot.
beachplum 133 Posted August 18, 2014 I have been taking all of the Vitamins - yes. I thought if I got all of my Protein and vitamins in every day faithfully that the Hair loss might not have happened to me, but it has. I can't wait for it to stop. It's been about a month now. Llabard 5 Posted August 19, 2014 Feeling a little defeated, it's been 8 weeks and I have only lost 23 lbs. I had an unbearable 2-3 week stall but thankfully that's over. Trying to stay positive but it's hard when my expectations are so high.

butterfyeffect 257 Posted August 19, 2014 Feeling a little defeated, it's been 8 weeks and I have only lost 23 lbs. I had an unbearable 2-3 week stall but thankfully that's over. Trying to stay positive but it's hard when my expectations are so high. I read something that someone posted before my surgery, something that stuck with me. The post was titled "Rules to follow after your sleeve" or something along those lines. Anyway, the very first "rule" was to eliminate the word "only" from your vocabulary. I have tried very hard to follow that rule, and I think I'm much happier for it. Every time I want to say "I only lost a pound this week!" or "I've only lost 8 pounds this month!" I instead eliminate the "only". Those sentences become suddenly very optimistic: "I lost a pound this week!" and "I've lost 8 pounds this month!" Or, think of it this way if you will: Would you have lost 23 pounds in 8 weeks if you hadn't had your sleeve done? Or would you have stayed the same, or even gained? Don't ever feel defeated in this. It is a journey, not a destination.
MRhynard11 41 Posted August 19, 2014 A few days shy of the 2 month mark and I'm at 32 lbs gone. I like this topic because I'm sure, like myself, so many of us wonder if we're losing at the pace we should.

Annie68 27 Posted September 1, 2014 Surgery the beginning of May- 5'4", starting weight #221, currently #158. Off all BP meds! I eat every 3 hours- Protein first, then veggies, fruit/healthy carbs. Walk 3-4 miles, 4 days/week. Keep meaning to start back at the gym for weights, but working full time & never seem to make it. I promised myself I would start in September, and now it's here- no excuses!
