I'll have to catch up with y'all on personals this weekend or tonight.

I just wanted to let you know we were very lucky, we only lost our electric, but all our neighbors lost most of their trees. It kind of just went right over us, the people behind us got hit bad and the people right next door did, and all the ones across the street did. I feel so bad for some of them, they lost all their trees in their yard. I couldn't believe it when I came home last night and saw all the limbs and trees cut up and put at the curb, and the big ones haven't even been done yet! I am just thankful that it was the trees though and not the people or their homes.

Later y'all!

Hi Dianne...long time, no see...hope you are doing well!

Mandy, good news on the band, and actually, good news on the gyno stuff. At least they are taking action...I do think it could possibly be endometriosis of some type, from your description. Be sure your surgeon knows of your lapband! All that equipment is in there, ya know.

Haven hasn't had much to say about their loss, but keeps re-enacting my stunning performance (falling three steps off home, running-ha- to first base...it provides endless enjoyment!). Today is another several hours of supervising the snow cone machine!

Oh yeah...yesterday I was elected president of the parent association at the school...and it was the national day of prayer. Coincidence? LOL! Keep laughing...!

Better get outta here...gotta clean up so I go get sticky red stuff all over me! Snow cone Syrup, that is...

Hugs,

Cindy

Happy Friday,

First I would like to know from any moderators why all the crazy changes here.... and now the pretty girl in the logo? I wouldn't think to complain..... just that everyday is new.

Dianne :D So glad to see ya! I have my date 5/14 and today I need to get all the checks printed for my pre-op next tuesday. Insurance did not pull thru for me. Waiting any longer was not an option. I'll be fine!

Brianne: Welcome! We have Soooo much fun here. Congrats on your surgery. I'll be there in 10 days! And I must say, you have done marvelous!

Betty: I'm So thankful that your home wasn't damaged.... you scared me! Do you have to live thru all this weather stuff yearly? You must have nerves of steel.

Kat: Where's our Rick report?

Eileenie: Peek-a-boo :D

Mandy: I am relieved that you aren't having band problems and that your meds are working. I have hardly eaten this week because of the flu and I'm hoping the band doesn't feel like that. Your appointment will be here before you know it and the answers will come. Hey, I didn't know your husband works for the railroad. My kidlets are crazy about trains -- your're so lucky! Hugs.

Well, the weekend is here and I have neglected my home. Gotta clean, clean, clean. The kids are going to Dads and I will be alone -- yeah! Hey! where is the rest of our crew??

I'm so out of it today! Clifford came and I just want to sleep. I have so much to tell you all but I need to go back to sleep. Boobies are good though! Still not sure what size I am, but they feel much better. I still can't lift much without pain or put my arms up in the air, but I'm feeling better everyday. Now I need t look into TT before insurance stops. Patty I will have to talk to you about cobra at some point soon.

My new window is being put in today!! woohoo!! Of course that means I have to paint this week. But I am ready for it. I HATE the curent window and since it is damaged I can't open it. It's in my living room so there is no fresh air for us. That will all change today. I'll be back later. ~Mandy

Well, I'm with you Betty, I'm doing laundry too..... 3 loads down and 3 to go! Dishes are getting done too! I also have 3 checks for my doctors and hospital.... I guess 3 is my number today! Slowly getting ready for surgery. I have flavored waters, shakes, Vitamins, pain relievers...... I still need to buy that gasx stuff. I'm trying to finish all the dusting and cleaning since I'm the maid and I will be sleeping the first few days. I think I need to empty the fridge of all that evil pre-band food I used to love. I will need you all to entertain me with food porn before this is all over. Work this week will be 4 days and my prayer is that things go smoothly and to keep me healthy before my date. So can ya send one up for me? Thanks guys -- did I ever tell you that you're the best? Well, you are! Hugs,

Hi, Patty! You know, prayers are our specialty...so you got it! Your big day is coming up quick, isn't it? Can hardly believe it! We'll be here for you, no worries.

Betty, we did not get the big storms this time around...but I sure feel bad for the Greensburg KS townspeople...that little town is about an hour northwest of my grandma's town (Kiowa). Greensburg is in Kiowa county, but my grandma lived in Kiowa...in Barber County. They are actually having more severe weather and hail today, even.

Where's Darcy?????? Seems like it's been a while...but she has that new cabin, so maybe that's it.

Hi, Eileen! Yeah, you work so hard all week, and we're goofing off around here, then you have some time, and we're off doing other junk...we keep missing each other, which is a bummer. I don't think I am EVER gonna make below 200...I keep going up and down the same 2 pounds...which is typical for me. How was the new pastor? We have a new one, too, and we really like him.

Where's Beanie? How's the new job, or have you started it yet?

I'm doing laundry, too...and trying to get some down time in. We've been running around like crazy people all week, with another week just like it ahead of us!

Thanks for being the fantastic ladies you are!

Cindy

Patty - I bought the gas x stuff and it didn't help me at all. Remember to get some popcicles, Jello, apple/grape juice, some kind of Protein Drink (my doc said to use Carnation Instant) and chicken/beef broth. Get some extra strenght adult tylenol (liquid) and it's good if you have a heating pad. You are almost there sweetie! Don't worry, we'll all be there, holding your hand and sending prayers out to the big guy!:(:) :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
