Does anyone else have bad days? Today I had two slices of pizza that I made. And I didn't wait the hour to drink my water! I feel like a loser!

Most everyone has a bad day here and there. Just acknowledge it and move on! One mistake doesn't make you a failure. You've got this :)

How were you able to eat two slices of pizzas? Were they tiny slices? I'm only 3.5 weeks out, and I have difficulty drinking 3 ounces of Soup.< /p>

Yeah they were small. I only eat the toppings off. I ate one full piece. I'm already 31/2 months out

I have really had no issues eating. That's why I'm so afraid to have bad days! I can see how easy it would be to fall into old habits.

You will have to stay focused, and be forever vigilant. For me the very thought that I laid on an operating table, allowed myself to be put to sleep, and asked a doctor to remove a large portion of a perfectly healthy organ still amazes me. I realize today that I'm grieving the lost of my stomach, but it's forever gone. I plan to honor my surgery by making a lifetime commitment to the process.

Glad to hear the good days are winning the fight. And yes we are human and will continue t o have roller coaster days and sometimes weeks. As women we have a lot to deal with. Stay encouraged and claim your success.

i am 7 wks out and i chose this option (sleeve) so that i wouldn't have to FOREVER be on a 'diet' and feel guilty over eating something like a slice of pizza...

i too have had a thin crust slice. no guilt, scale continues to move downward nicely! i guess i wouldn't consider the fact that you ate a very limited portion of a 'treat' food a bad day. pizza USED to be a twice-a-week occasion for me, now it will likely be about once a month or so. no issues.

that said, if you are following your program then you have nothing to feel bad about! my program includes ALL foods, including breads, rice, Pasta, yes-pizza, and even Desserts in LIMITED wise quantities (1 slice). i have NO problems overeating and feel VERY full well before i'm done eating ANY meal!

Don't beat yourself up, we all have those days. I have pizza about once a month...the amount I eat depends on the day and what my body can handle. I try REALLY hard not to drink after I eat but it is very hard for me as I have always been someone with a Water bottle in hand. You are human just don't slip into bad habits daily and you will succeed. Good luck!

The great thing with the sleeve (for me , at least) is I can have my favorite foods on occasion. I follow my plan closely , but allow room for the occasional treat. Nothing is forbidden in my diet. I am 11 months p/op and still have excellent restriction. I am under my docs goal and my personal goal. pizza is delicious and I join in when my family has it, albeit may only a small slice and some of the toppings. I don't feel deprived or feel like a failure. Failure would be making bad choices, all day , every day. Enjoy your sleeved life!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
